Emergency Planning

Steelhenge provides specialist emergency planning and crisis management consulting and training programmes, as well as emergency exercises in support of all aspects of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) and community civil protection.

Critical National Infrastructure

In CNI areas, we have built up an almost unique understanding of Central Government response mechanisms and CNI inter-actions, across the energy, water, telecoms, fuel, transport and communications sectors.  Our staff have developed emergency plans for suppliers and operators, government and regulators as well as major users.  This means we are well versed in operating at every level, from the strategic to the operational and in different environments from India to the Middle East, Eastern Europe and many other countries.

Community Resilience

At the community level, we have worked with responder communities in the UK and internationally assisting with the preparation of emergency and continuity plans, the preparation of people through training and rehearsal and the validation of plans through emergency exercises.

We have also worked with a variety of NGOs, agencies and charities in the development of their plans and integration of their responses into the wider framework of multi-agency response.

Our staff include former emergency planners and disaster response volunteers who therefore bring practical experience to the development of pragmatic solutions which cut to the chase of what is really important.
