Museum and Heritage Show exhibition attendance declared a success by museum business continuity and crisis management experts Steelhenge
Steelhenge Consulting, a leading provider of business continuity and scenario-based emergency exercising for museums and heritage establishments, has described the recent exhibition at the Museums and Heritage show as a success. Steelhenge was invited to exhibit at the show as a recognised leader in museum business continuity and crisis management training and exercises, following the successful implementation of an extensive business continuity project for the Natural History Museum.
"We were delighted to have the opportunity to exhibit at the Museum and Heritage Show, and I am pleased to report that the show was hugely beneficial, interesting and a welcome opportunity to meet museum managers in person," commented Isobel Nicholas, Marketing and Communications Director for Steelhenge. "That initial face-to-face contact enabled us to discuss the business continuity requirements for their particular institutions, and reassure them that the business continuity planning process need not be as daunting as they might have thought."
When asked about the people attending the show, Isobel replied; "We spoke to a large number of museum and heritage establishment managers from a wide spectrum of intuitions ranging from major museums to individual private collections. The wide scope of show attendees was representative of the museum, galleries and heritage industry, both in the UK and internationally. It was also enjoyable to see the range of products and services available to the museum sector," Isobel added. "There were interesting 3-D interactive displays and many colourful, innovative products to explore. I was impressed by the range of companies participating in the exhibition, and am pleased with the contacts that we made."
